Here at Wood Works by Geo., we make all kinds of items in an assortment of wood products from a variety of hardwoods:
- Domestics (e.g. maples/oaks/black walnut)
- Exotics (e.g. cocobolo – Chechen – Bloodwood -Purpleheart) and many others.
We have been assured by our wood supplier that none of the exotic woods we have purchased and incorporated into our objects are restricted in harvest, or in shipping to and use in the United States.
We make vases (mostly with liners so they can be used to hold water and flowers), bowls of various sizes and shapes, cutting boards, kitchen utensils, and a variety of other useful items.
While all of our items are suitable for decoration, all bowls, candy dishes, cutting boards and utensils have food-safe finishes and we encourage you to use them.
We are just getting started with this site and will be adding more things as we go, but please take a look around and let us know if there is anything that appeals to you. If you don’t see what you are looking for, let us know that too – we are game to try other things as well.
In addition to all the wood products, be sure to check out “Jody’s Corner,” where you’ll find sewn products including litter bags for your car, and “Personal Air Conditioners” sometimes called neck coolers. Jody also makes greeting cards using a variety of attractive and colorful decorations on the front, with a verse on the inside page. She also has blank note cards decorated on the front with photos she has taken and, of course, blank inside so you can add your own words.
